Eastbound Passenger Operations
Exodus – Isaiah/{Valentine} – Jeremiah – Obadiah
(Jonah Junction) – (Alpha) – Black Canyon Yard
General Operations Note:
All local passenger trains are on a timetable. As such, passenger trains have priority over all other trains on the Black Canyon Railroad; however, the crews of the passenger trains are to be aware and react properly to the possibility of freight train movements which may impede passnger train operations. Please refer to Time Table #36 (or the most recently published time table) for departure times. It is the responsibility of the train crew to ensure that departure times are adhered to, as meet times are of the highest priority in order for passengers to make their connections.
Exodus
Before leaving Exodus Yard, the engineer is to ensure that the manifest and the cars in the consist match. Once the engineer has been dispatched, all further movements are governed by the timetable.
The Local Daily #22 and the Express Daily #16 must be dispatched in time to make the scheduled departure times from Isaiah.
Isaiah/Valentine
Isaiah is mainly a freight depot with an attached passenger lounge. It is at this point that the Valley Flyer enters control of the Black Canyon Railroad, having left Valentine at 4:20 am and arriving at Isaiah so that it’s departure time of 4:30 am is honored. The Local Daily leaves at 5:00 am and the Express Daily leaves no later than 11:40 am.
Jeremiah
The Valley Flyer does not stop at Jeremiah. The Local Daily leaves at 5:25 am and the Express Daily leaves at 12:05 pm. After departure, all trains are to be aware of freight operations at the Jeremiah industrial district, paying particular attention for the use of torpedoes and/or flag men protecting the movements of the freight consist.
Obadiah
The Valley Flyer departs Obadiah at 5:30 pm. The Local Daily has a scheduled departure time of 6:25 am. Obadiah is a meeting stop for the Express Daily, scheduled to arrive by 1:05 pm and leave no later than 1:20 pm.
Jonah Junction
Jonah Junction is a scheduled stop for the Local Daily, leaving at 7:05 am. The Express Daily has a flag stop here, with a departure time of 1:50 pm. The Valley Flyer does not stop.
Alpha
Alpha is a scheduled stop for the Local Daily, leaving at 7:25 am. The Express Daily has a flag stop here, with a departure time of 2:10 pm. The Valley Flyer does not stop.
Black Canyon Yard
The Valley Flyer is scheduled to arrive by 6:30 am. The Local Daily should be pulling in by 7:35 am, and the Express Daily is scheduled for a 2:20 pm arrival. All trains, prior to arriving, should establish communication with the Black Canyon Yardmaster in order to confirm arrival track and any special instructions. All trains will turn at Black Canyon, using the spur and loop through Omega. After arrival, the locomotive is to be released from the throttle.
