Westbound Passenger Operations
Black Canyon Yard – (Alpha) – (Jonah Junction) – Obadiah
Jeremiah – Isaiah/{Valentine} – Exodus
General Operations Note:
All local passenger trains are on a timetable. As such, passenger trains have priority over all other trains on the Black Canyon Railroad; however, the crews of the passenger trains are to be aware and react properly to the possibility of freight train movements which may impede passnger train operations. Please refer to Time Table #36 (or the most recently published time table) for departure times. It is the responsibility of the train crew to ensure that departure times are adhered to, as meet times are of the highest priority in order for passengers to make their connections.
Black Canyon Yard
Before leaving Black Canyon Yard, the engineer is to ensure that the manifest and the cars in the consist match. Once the engineer has been dispatched, all further movements are governed by the timetable.
The Express Daily #15 leaves at 12:00 pm, Local Daily #21 leaves at 5:00 pm, and the Valley Flyer #55 leaves at 6:30 pm.
Alpha
Alpha is a flag stop for the Express Daily, scheduled to leave no later than 12:10 pm. The Local Daily is required to stop with a scheduled departure time of 5:10 pm. The Valley Flyer does not stop.
Jonah Junction
Jonah Junction is a flag stop for the Express Daily, scheduled to leave no later than 12:30 pm. The Local Daily is required to stop with a scheduled departure time of 5:30 pm. The Valley Flyer does not stop.
Obadiah
Obadiah is a meeting stop for the Express Daily, scheduled to arrive by 1:00 pm and leave no later than 1:15 pm. The Local Daily has a scheduled departure time of 6:10 pm. The Valley Flyer is scheduled to depart no later than 7:40 pm. All trains should be aware of the possibility of freights in the Jeremiah industrial district that could be blocking the main. Be prepared for torpedoes or a flagman.
Jeremiah
Jeremiah is the home of the flagship station, with iconic Santa Fe styling prevalent in the southwest. The Express Daily is scheduled to leave no later than 2:20 pm. The Local Daily is required to stop with a scheduled departure time of 7:15 pm. The Valley Flyer does not stop.
Isaiah/Valentine
Isaiah Station is mainly a freight depot with a passenger lounge attached. At this point, the Express Daily and Local Daily continue towards Exodus, while the Valley Flyer diverges and proceeds towards Valentine. The Express Daily is scheduled to leave no later than 2:45 pm. The Local Daily will depart at 7:40 pm. The Valley Flyer arrives at 8:10 pm, leaves at 8:20 pm, and proceeds towards Valentine with a scheduled arrival time of 8:30 pm. At that point, control of the Valley Flyer is handed over to the Santa Fe for further scheduling.
Exodus
Exodus is the terminating point for the Express Daily and the Local Daily. Prior to arriving, communication should be established with the Exodus Yardmaster in order to confirm arrival track and any special instructions. After arrival, the locomotive is to be released from the throttle and the Yardmaster will take responsibility for turning the train.
