Friday, September 4, 2009 – normal operating session. Dave, Richard, Cary, Bob, Harold, and a surprise appearance by Eric. Running of the mainline passengers was very aggressive, and proved to be part of the puzzle that added to the challenge of this hobby. The fast clock was cranked up to 10:1 from 6:1, which really added to the realism – the passenger consists were coming through fast enough and often enough that the friehgt peddlers had to be especially vigilant.
The session ended a little sooner than the normal 9:00 pm with all trains completed and Exodus Yard ready for the next session on the 18th.
Special note: Cary will not be at the session on the 18th due to his wife’s scheduled surgery.
Was thinking that we need more waybills for hoppers, flats and gondolas. We seem to be very heavy on boxcars and refers.
I believe Dave was working on that Saturday 10/3. We’ll find out. Good thought.
