Monday, August 15th, 2011, the Black Canyon Railroad left it’s home of thirty five years in the Arizona Room of Construction Superintendent Harold Shelton’s home. Having been built in place, the pieces were very difficult to get out, especially the Exodus Yard end.

View where Jonah Junction used to be. Obadiah peninsula to the left; Exodus to the right beyond Isaiah.

Obadiah peninsula moved out of the way, up against Jeremiah.

Left end of Jeremiah, the duckunder goes there. Alpha is located in the missing piece.

Obadiah peninsula headed around the pool and out the gate.

Getting ready to move Isaiah. Note the lack of a roundhouse. These two pieces had to be moved forward until the Arcadia door allowed three inches of wiggle room to get them apart; they had been built to very tight tolerances.

Jeremiah and Omega have been removed; cleaning the area for the big removal.

Next up – pictures of the new home, in progress, at An Affair With Trains. The general plan is to rewire each section prior to the new placement. There is a rumor that Ring Engineering has been rather generous in allowing a test of their new radio control system.
