Members of the Black Canyon Railroad Museum had the opportunity to tour a location for the possible re-location of the layout. This area is in the east end of the Silver Spur Saloon in Cave Creek, Arizona. This room was the brewery for the bar. All brewery equipment would be removed.
View from the east end, standing in the roll-up door. Cary was wrong - the beam is at least nine feet off the floor, based on Bob's height. Beyond the vats are the two arched windows; tables in the bar area are set against them. On the left you can make out the windows from the passageway on the south side of the area.
Better view of the passageway windows, to Harold's right beyond the bottling line. Overall dimensions of existing room are approximately 18' wide by 35' long.
View from west end, near doorway into bar area. Shows roll-up door at east end and doorway to the workspace.
Large storage tanks in the outer area, on the east end. This is the area spoken of when referring to expansion plans.
View from outside the roll-up door. The white door (over Richard's right shoulder) leads into the workspace area. Storage tanks are on extreme right edge.
South side of east roll-up door. Harold is discussing details with Marc.
Better view of area between workspace area and storage tanks.
North wall, with interior door to workspace area. Note the plumbed-in water line. This will need to be cut back away from the layout - no sense tempting a leak and creating a water feature.
Other side of the closed-off slider is a curio shop/souvenir store. Harold and Richard discussing possibilities.
Workspace area - closer to six feet across, and about fifteen feet deep. Workshop/staging yards?
Southeast corner of area - last window from the passageway.
View of ceiling above the vats - this would need to be dropped to the same level as the rest of the ceiling. The vent spoken of in the meeting is visible in the upper left corner, above Harold's head.
A panoramic shot of the area.
