Obadiah Station
This is a structure made from kit number 125 manufactured by American Model Builders, Inc.
Construction
All parts are laser cut for nice assembly. The main walls of the structure are clapboard siding. After assembly the building was painted before adding the pre-painted window and door assemblies. The roof followed, being assembled and then painted. The roof remains removable for lighting and maintenance. The last item fabricated was the wooden loading dock, made from strip wood.
Detail
Extra detail was added after the structure was added to the layout, including people and scenery.
Conformity
Building was modeled after a two-story Santa Fe station.
Finish
The finish was airbrushed using Floquil paints. Weathering was applied using acrylic paint to complete the structure.
