Wooden Trestle
This is a trestle built using two Campbell kits.
Construction
This is an all-wood kit with most parts cut to shape and length. Most of the time was spent constructing the roadbed and making it conform to the configuration desired. Bents were constructed, added to the roadbed, and lastly connecting bracing was added. All parts were pre-stained.
Detail
Extra detail, such as the nut-and-washer castings, were added at the time the bridge was installed on the layout. Additional scenery was also added after installation to blend the structure into the topography.
Conformity
The trestle was constructed following the plans supplied in the kits.
Finish
All sub-assemblies were pre-stained before assembly.
Scratchbuilt
Campbell kits.
